He is using the fact that his place allows cats as an incentive to get Elan to move in with him.

I’m Catholic (with some Buddhist and New Age undertones) but with all of the international and spiritual exposure I’ve gotten in my life so far, I’ve pretty much come to the conclusion that there are basic rules that humans follow no matter what belief system they have –
– Love one another
– Harm none
– Care for your community
I had a similar assignment in my elementary and high school classes where we had to analyze what philosophies were similar between religions/philosophies (in high school’s case, the Catholic church). It’s really reassuring that a lot of things are more similar than different.

It’s interesting that being Jewish is also an ancestry trait. It’s because Jewish history has documented proof of four maternal bloodlines that start around the origins of the Abrahamic religions and the Human Genome Project has confirmed that this is true. Most of the people who fall in those bloodlines tend to be Jews, thus why the bloodline is matriarchal and it tends to be referenced as a “Jewish” bloodline even if people don’t necessarily follow the faith. (Maggie & Jake Gyllenhaal and Jinkx Monsoon are good examples of this)
I have heard the half when it comes to describing faiths or what people tend to balance when it comes to their religious/spiritual beliefs. However, Judaism is the only one that has an established bloodline to it as well.
Sorry for writing so much. My inner world theology nerd just came out. ^_^
