The thought of Elan being hurt and abused in any way…is like a physical blow. All that shown in two panels… brilliant.

Rafa brightened Elan’s world just as Elan brightened his. Rafa saw the strength and wonder in Elan that he didn’t know he possessed, he shared his love of music and cooking with Elan, taught him confidence and he taught him how to protect himself if he needed to. Rafa is a man of great gifts. They both are.
