No, it is much older, but i guess you could say it was… Brought back to life, if you can say it like that in english? Rejuvenated. In a sad sort of way, the jews were brought closer together through the whole thing and thus they were in a closer proximity to each other which resulted in the language being spread much quicker. It’s generally a language that is spoken by ashkenazi jews, so those of us from colder countries (my mother’s side), but due to what happened some spread to the sephardi jews (those from warm countries; my father’s side), so it was spread. But yes, it is a much older language than then, it was just… I don’t know, given a makeover. :p

Uhmmm, I thought Yiddish (which is what I was referring to) is much, much older? Originated sometime in the medieval ages, or so I thought? Sorry, I don’t want to be a wise-ass, I just find this language fascinating.
