There were things I remember Rafa showing him and teaching him so he could be more self reliant.
Rafa did want to protect him … and there is a certain amount of obligation one takes when they enter a relationship, be it platonic or otherwise. Rafa is trying to do the right thing by Elan (even if it may be misguided – but since he has not been given the chance to explain himself, we don’t know for sure); while Elan obviously feels no obligation towards Rafa … I’m still not happy with the fact he just left Rafa in the cold like he did. From the looks of this journal entry all Rafa got for his kindness was seeing Elan shot, thinking Elan dead, being degraded by Elan’s father and then having Elan hang up on him with no explanation.

This is frustrating!
I can’t wait until the next chapter.

Welp I don’t know if there’s going to be a time skip since he says he didn’t have time to write for a long time or if he’s just talking about how he had to be incognito when with his father. I can’t wait to see what he’s done with all that money, probably something philanthropic with enough that he can get by.
