This is great to hear, because it a constant thing in my mind to not turn it into a fetish.

I’ve read only a handful of traditional yaoi. I’d rather read other types of novels to keep my mind fresh. Instead, I take queues from people I’ve met in real life and their stories and conflicts for my little [less popular] corner of this genre.

you know what i particularly like about your story telling, you write male characters with feelings, deep feelings, but you never turn them into women in any sense. if you have ever read any female written or traditional japanese yaoi, you know what i mean. i think readers of such yaoi are greatly damaged, because they have no real concept of what men are like together, or the flexibility of roles within each relationship. the seme/uke world mindset.
