V had a lot more culturally specific phenomenon to account than in IV so there are a lot of corrections the authors need to make.
But beyond the technicalities, Elan really phrased this well. People can still have a huge influence on your life even if it’s been years since you’ve seen them. It really reminds me of the Kingdom Hearts philosophy Leon establishes – “We may never meet again, but we will never forget each other.”

So the DSM-IV is a better source I guess.
