Chapter 32 - My Neighborhood: Page 13

You were first introduced to Uncle Thomas here. Feels like a long time ago.

Ughhhh. Can’t he just give up already? Or drive his car off a bridge? I’d be fine with either.

I love the inner dialogue we share with Elan here. I might have felt similarly, but now I understand *exactly* how he feels.

    • Elan is what we call an “unreliable narrator”. He always thinks he is alone.

  • Jeldenil

Completely alone? What happened to the big brother?

  • JesBelle

  • This is the wrong place to try to gang up on Elan…Elan has friends.

  • bronakopdin

darn… ofc Fridge, sadly forgot his name, is not the company he’d have needed here >////////<

Uncle Thomas seemed not so bad way back then, when he said “in his own quiet Elan way.” But I guess Elan would know.

You’re not alone, Elan – Scott is there and has experience dealing with rough customers I’d guess.

    • Thomas just follows what his older brother does. He isn’t that bad himself.

      • kuku

He just lets himself be used for badness? Get a spine, Thomas.

I bet Thomas wanted to drop out of this mess the moment Elan got the inheritance (at least from what I saw in Chapter 9). But I guess it’s a mix of some of that family upbringing and maybe the collateral that comes with being a younger sibling. I can totally imagine Arthur being the guy that says “I made you and I can break you just as fast” and means it.

  • Yo, somebody forgot to clean the grease trap! Some of it oozed onto the floor.
