Nice to get to know Javier a little more – how thoughtful he is!

    • JesBelle

He also knows more about old movie musicals than your typical teenager.

      • I forgot to add the movie clips! Just in case.

        • JesBelle

My brain was already running “A Boy Like That” on continuous loop.

          • This is my fav scene though. Their conversation was much like the kind my parents had.

I loved that one, too. I used to put on my big skirt and wave it around in my best Rita Moreno impression.

          • JesBelle

That was always my favorite, too. I used to put on my fullest skirt and wave it around in my best Rita Moreno impression. By “used to” I mean like, last Thursday.

          • Rita Moreno is still rockin it in her old age, too!

      • Lleyn

Perhaps he had a good teacher who presented him with West Side Story as a more modern version of Romeo and Juliet. Though I guess kids today would rather watch the Baz Luhrmann movie. It’s incredible how immortal that tale is.

        • JesBelle

Shakespeare sure liked it when he heard it. I’d wager that most people commenting here are fans of star-crossed lovers stories.

  • Cythrosi

Oh West Side Story. One of my favorite musicals. <3

  • bronakopdin

oh gosh I only once saw westside story in school and back then I didn’t understand everything since my English wasn’t as good yet… maybe I should give it a shot again! Wasn’t it a movie with lots of dancing? I’m not even sure anymore >_<'

and I L.O.V.E. Elan's smiling face there!!! He looks like he's in such a good mood! I wish it's not just a played part, he needs some great time with friends now!
And I agree about Greorge's new hair, remember him from that recent page, he looks so much younger again now and fresh and confident :)

    • kuku

Yup, lots of dancing – it’s a Romeo-and-Juliet star-crossed lovers story – Tony and Maria fall in love, but his poor white gang and her brother’s Puerto Rican gang are fighting in the streets of New York, and there doesn’t seem to be any safe haven for love.

  • hmmm. I remember not liking WSS the first time I watched it. I don’t remember why. Maybe I should watch it again?

  • Lleyn

Oh gods, Javier, do the girls in your school know how sweet you are? Ah, that’s right, they’re probably more after guys like Jerk, I mean Jake. Pity.

  • kahltira

It’s one of the most famous Leonard Bernstein Musicals of all time.
Very appropriate for this story :)

  • Aww, that smile! ♥
Gosh, been so preoccupied I haven’t come here to give the comic a look. It’s been weeks x_x.
Thank god I came back on Tuesday XD!
